ADDING SMART+ WIFI SWITCH MODULES

a) Auto scan mode

A new SMART+ WiFi Switch Module is in fast-flashing mode (previously known as EZ mode and hereafter referred as fast-flashing mode) when you switch it on, the indicator LED flashing around twice per second. To connect it, tap “+” button on the particular home screen page where you want to add the device, and then select “Add device”. Now press the button “Start automatic search” shown on the screen. The next screen will show the devices that are available in the network. You can select and add the devices shown individually by tapping the “Add” button. Alternatively, for complete integration, you can also select the “Add all” button shown at the top of the list. In the next screen, select the WiFi router with 2.4 GHz network and enter the corresponding password with which you want to connect your devices. If you have multiple WiFi routers at your home, then you can select the WiFi from “Change WiFi network” as well. After a device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”.
 
 
b) Manual adding mode

If you cannot find the desired device with above mentioned steps, then you can also add the device manually with “Add manually” button mentioned at the bottom of the screen.
To do this, set the switch module to fast-flashing mode if it has not already been set. It will be in pairing mode for 3 Minutes. Now select the device category tab “WiFi devices”. Then select the category “Switch modules” and then “1/2/ curtain switch module”. In the next screen, select the WiFi router with 2.4 GHz network and enter the corresponding password with which you want to connect your devices. If you have multiple WiFi routers at your home, then you can select the WiFi from “Change WiFi network” as well. Select the option of fast flashing, if the device is flashing around twice per second, if not then select slow flashing for a flashing around once per two seconds. For fast flashing mode in the next step, a search will be carried out for the nearby devices. After the device is found, then it will be registered on the cloud, and it will be initialized. After a device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”. If connection isn’t possible in fast-flashing mode, you can try establishing a connection in slow-flashing mode (previously known as AP mode and hereafter referred as slow-flashing mode). For slow flashing, you need to connect your smartphone with the device hotspot. You are now requested to connect the smartphone to the hotspot (LDV smart+-xxxx) provided by the switch module. After tapping on "connect with hotspot", the WiFi of the smartphone must be connected to the hotspot (LDV smart+-xxxx) of the switch module via the WiFI settings of the smartphone, you need to confirm with the “Yes” button that the connection was successful. In the next step, a search will be carried out for that device. After the device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”.
 
The switch modules can be switched from fast-flashing mode to slow-flashing mode or vice-versa by turning by pressing on the reset button for 5 seconds or by switching On and Off the connected wall switch for 10 actions (On-Off-On-Off. In the app as well, the “pairing mode” can be switched accordingly by tapping the “change adding mode” button.


c) Product functions for 1 and 2 channel switch modules


Tap one of the Switch modules icons to display the device screen to control its functions. Relay switch modules have 1 or 2 channels, which can be controlled independently.
 
  • Electricity consumption: to display the electrical consumption of the connect device. The power consumption is displayed for the whole switch module and no separation between both channels. You can check the energy consumption per hour, per day and per month for the last months just by clicking on the electricity consumption displayed. To calculate the money spent, you need to input the price per kWh by clicking on "Price/kWh." You can also view the complete monthly overview by clicking on the chart under "Monthly Overview" or the annual overview by clicking on the chart under "Yearly Overview" and download it as a .CSV file. The hourly consumption can only be displayed for the last 7 days. The daily consumption can only be displayed for the last 365 days. There is no display limit for monthly consumption. It is important to note that the power consumption of a product is always calculated with the multiplication of current, voltage and the power factor (the phase difference between the voltage and the current: this can vary from 0.5 to 1.) 
Power = u * i * cos(φ)
Where u is the voltage, i is the current and cos(φ) is the power factor of the device.
 
  • Time schedule: to set a time schedule for turning any channel of switch module on/off.
  • Timer: to set a countdown for switching on/off any channel automatically after a defined time has expired.
  • Fixed time cycle: to switch on/off any channel according to a fixed time cycle.
  • Random time cycle: to switch on/off any channel randomly in a time cycle.
  • Automatic switch off: to automatically switch off any channel after a period of time.
  • History: to view the logs of the on/off times of the single channels for the last 7 days.
  • Power on behavior: to set any switch status after the device is powered on. E.g. After a power outage.
  • Switch state: to set switching properties according to your connected wall switch by choosing from the options of rocker switch, synchronized rocker switch and push button.
  • Interlocking: allows only one channel to be turned on at same time. ​​​​​​
d) Product functions for Curtain Switch module

Tap one of the curtain switch modules icons to display the device screen to control its functions.
  • Time schedule: to set a time schedule for opening/closing the curtain to certain percentage.
  • Motor steering: to adapt or change the motor direction from forward to backward.
  • Calibration: to calibrate the correct boundaries for opening/closing the curtain.
