a) Auto scan mode
A new SMART+ WiFi Remote Wall Switch is in pairing mode when you switch it on. The indicator LED of the first switch will flash on and off for around 1.5 seconds in each state. It is not possible to change the flashing state at Remote Wall Switches. To connect it, tap “+” button on the particular home screen page where you want to add the device, and then select “add device”. Now press the button “start automatic search” shown on the screen. The next screen will show the devices that are available in the network. You can select and add the devices shown individually by tapping the “add” button. Alternatively, for complete integration, you can also select the “add all” button shown at the top of the list. In the next screen, select the WiFi router with 2.4 GHz network and enter the corresponding password with which you want to connect your devices. If you have multiple WiFi routers at your home, then you can select the WiFi from “change WiFi network” as well. After a device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”.
b) Manual adding mode
If you cannot find the desired device with above mentioned steps, then you can also add the device manually with “Add manually” button mentioned at the bottom of the screen.
To do this, set the Remote Wall Switches to pairing mode if it has not already been set. To reset the product press on the first switch for 10 seconds.
Now select the device category tab “WiFi”. Then select the category “Remote Wall Switches”. As WiFi Remote Wall Switches does not support the fast-flashing mode (previously known as EZ-Mode) in manual mode, there is just one option to confirm the flashing, which is the slow flashing mode (previously known as AP mode and hereafter referred as slow-flashing mode).
After confirming the remote wall switch is flashing you need to connect with the device hotspot. You are now requested to connect the smartphone to the hotspot (LDV SMART+-xxxx) provided by the Remote Wall Switch. After tapping on "Connect with hotspot", the WiFi of the smartphone must be connected to the hotspot (LDV SMART+-xxxx) of the Remote Wall Switch via the WiFi settings of the smartphone, you need to confirm with the “yes” button that the connection was successful. In the next step, a search will be carried out for that device. After the device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “The device is successfully added”.
c) Product functions
Tap one of the Remote Battery Switch icons to display the device screen to control its functions.
Linking “Tap to perform” Routine: For different pressing operation you can add a “Tap to perform” routine to execute your favorite routines with the Remote Wall Switch. The options are as follows:
- Single Press: single press in less than 2 seconds
- Double Press: two presses in 1 second
- Long Press: single press for more than 2 seconds.
d) Resetting SMART+ Remote wall switch
The wall switches can be resetted by pressing the switch longer for around 10 seconds.
In case of 1 channel, it is the main switch. In case of 2 channel, it is the Switch 1 or the left side switch. In case of 4 channel, it is the Switch 1 or the switch on the top left corner.
