a) Auto scan mode
SMART+ WiFi cameras can only be added with the manual mode. Therefore, you need to click the link at the bottom of the screen which says, “C
lick here to switch to manual adding process”, if you are already in auto scanning mode. This can also be done with the “Add manually” button shown on the “info” button.
b) Manual adding mode
Select the device category tab “WiFi ”. Then select the category “Smart Camera”. In the next screen, select the WiFi router with 2.4 GHz network and enter the corresponding password with which you want to connect your devices. If you have multiple WiFi routers at your home, then you can select the WiFi from “Change WiFi network” as well. Now power on the device. After the device is switched on, a green signal led flashes rapidly to indicate that the booting process has started. After around 10 seconds, the green signal led flashes slowly to show that the camera is now ready to be connected to the network. Here you can click “yes” in the screen which asks “Is the device flashing”? If the device is not flashing then you need to hold the reset button for 3 seconds (see instruction manual).
The next screen displays a QR code that needs to be held around 15 to 20 cm in front of the camera. After the QR code is scanned by the camera, it will emit an acoustic signal. Then it will be registered on the cloud, and it will be initialized. After the device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “The device is successfully added”.
If connection isn’t possible via QR code, you can try establishing a connection in slow-flashing mode (previously known as ap mode, hereafter referred as slow-flashing mode) by clicking “Use other adding mode” option. You may need to perform a reset beforehand. The reset button needs to be pressed down continuously for around 3 seconds. If the device is flashing, then you can tap “yes” and connect with device hotspot. After tapping on "Connect with hotspot", the WiFi of the smartphone must be connected to the hotspot (LDV Smart+-xxxx) of the camera via the WiFi settings of the smartphone, you need to confirm with the “yes” button that the connection was successful. In the next step, a search will be carried out for that device. After the device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “The device is successfully added”.
Add Camera via LAN Cable:
Some cameras provide a LAN port and can be connected directly via the LAN cable to the router. Here, you need to go in the manual adding screen in device category “WIFI” to “Smart Camera”. Below the WiFi settings, which you
don’t need to fill, you can find “Or add the camera via LAN cable”. By pressing it will start scanning process for the camera on your local network. Please be sure that the camera is in pairing mode, camera is connected via LAN to router and phone is connected via WiFi to same router. After the device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “The device is successfully added”.
