This warranty will not apply in the event of conditions demonstrating abnormal use or stress, including but not limited to:
  • Exceeding the maximum ambient operating temperatures specified in the Product Information Bulletin and or Cut Sheet published on our website.
  • Storing the product outside the specified temperature range in the Product Information Bulletin and or Cut Sheet
Pole
  • Extreme Wind Events such as hurricanes, typhoons or tornadoes expose Poles to flying debris, wind shear, and other unpredictable aerodynamic forces not indicated by the wind velocity ratings.
Area Light 10 years
  • The product cannot be operated for more than 12 hrs. per day.
Outdoor Superior Class 10 years
  • Operating more than 16 hrs. per day
  • If operated over 45 C, the warranty period is limited to 7 Years
LEDVANCE Link™

If Product fails during the first 5 years of operation, the replacement remedy is not prorated. After the 5th year of operation, the replacement remedy is prorated according to calculation below. The credit remedy is prorated according to the calculation below during the full Warranty Period. The prorated remedy is equal to:

  • Lamps should be appropriately inserted and aligned in lamp holders as specified in the installation instructions.
  • Temperature at the control point (TC) shall not exceed:
o   For 2Ft/3Ft product: Tc = 53°C (127°F)
o   For 4Ft product: Tc = 60°C (140°F)

  • For DUALescent™ T8 CCT Selectable the control point (TC) shall not exceed: Tc = 158° F (70°C)
  • Operate at rated AC Voltage (UL Type B) or compatible ballast (UL Type A)

  • Lamps should be appropriately inserted and aligned in lamp holders as specified in the installation instructions
  • When converting a fixture from Type A to Type B and emergency back-up is desired, failure to change the existing emergency back-up to an inverter-type emergency driver will void the warranty.
  • Emergency back-up ballast that operates with fluorescent ballast must be disconnected from the lamp while DUALescent operates in type B mode, failure to do so will void the warranty
  • For proper use, installer must consult the ballast compatibility list to ensure that the lamp and ballast combination is deemed compatible and will operate as intended.   1. Product must be operated on an 11-hour cycle minimum in the operating position identified in the Product Information and Specification Guide HID017[MP1] .
  2. Product must be operated on a current ANSI compliant magnetic ballast or approved electronic ballast. Visit mysylvania.com or below link to download the latest approved e-HID ballast list.[SD2] 
  3. LEDVANCE reserves the right to examine all failed Product to verify cause of failure and shall be the sole judge as to whether the Product is in fact defective.
  4. Installation of more than fifty (50) are subject to the limited warranty terms

  • For products with ballast(s), Ballast must not be more than 10 years old, or lamp warranty is void

  • Improper site preparation, maintenance, or installation.
  • Normal cosmetic or superficial damage, normal aging, scratches, stains, dents, or exterior fading. The paint finish on the Product is not covered by this Warranty.
  • Accident, fire or exposure to any other hazard (including extreme electromagnetic field or any acts of nature such as earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, biological infestations, lightning, etc.)
  • Use of the Product with software or parts not provided, approved, or specified by LEDVANCE.
  • Any other causes beyond the control of LEDVANCE.

LEDVANCE LLC is an Authorized distributor of OPTOTRONIC ® and QUICKTRONIC products in North America. This is not a system warranty; it applies only to standalone products.
This warranty does not apply in the event of conditions demonstrating abnormal use or stress, including under/over voltage/current conditions, power surges or spikes, excessive switching cycles or operating hours, or outside the following recommended operating conditions:
  • Warranty period is based on typical 8,760 hr./yr. operation on a continuous cycle of 24 hours.
  • Do not exceed the Tc point (or case temperature) specified in the product specifications for warranty as set forth above.
  • Measures must be in place to prevent lightning strikes or transients at the input of the power supply if intended to operate above the rated transient protection of the power supply.
