SYLVANIA Lighting by LEDVANCE Delivering First-to-Market LED T8 Innovations at LIGHTFAIR International

Wilmington, Mass. and Philadelphia – Lighting leader LEDVANCE is advancing light by showcasing first-to-market SYLVANIA LED T8 innovations at Booth 1701 at LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI®).  New industry first solutions include a full family of LED T8 lamps that offer easy direct line voltage installation and the most effective, long-life LED T8 retrofit portfolio of its kind.  In addition, the company is unveiling an LED alternative for horizontal and vertical CFL lamps with electronic and magnetic ballasts.  In North America, LEDVANCE offers professional users and retail customers SYLVANIA advanced LED bulbs, standardized luminaires and smart lighting solutions, as well as traditional light sources.

At the show, LEDVANCE is unveiling SYLVANIA LEDlescent™ T8 Ballast-Free Lamps, a full family of LED T8 lamps able to be installed “directly” to 120-277V line voltage therefore bypassing the existing ballast.  The high efficiency 2ft, 3ft and 4ft LED T8 lamps simplify installation since they eliminate ballast compatibility issues and the need for ballast maintenance.  These LED T8 lamps provide one of the safest retrofit solution for internal driver available in the market while maintaining the fixture look, providing fast installation, and lowering total cost of ownership due to decreased maintenance costs.  Lumen output ranges from 1100 – 2200 lumens using between 8.5 and 17W, with multiple color temperatures available (3000K, 3500K, 4100K and 5000K). 

New solutions at the booth also include the first full family of SYLVANIA SubstiTUBE IPS LED T8 Tubes with long 60,000 hour (L70) life, making these the most effective, long-life retrofit portfolio of its kind.  They are ideal for spot re-lamping because they have a traditional form factor – a glass body with metal end caps identical to fluorescent lamps.  The 2ft, 3ft and 4ft LED T8 lamps use between 8.5 – 15.5 watts (W) to deliver 1100 – 2200 lumens, with the 4ft version being dimmable and delivering 2100 – 2200 lumens.  Available color temperatures include 3000K, 3500K, 4100K and 5000K.  The new SYLVANIA SubstiTUBE DULUX® LED Pin Base GX23 and GX24Q Lamps are a CFL alternative for electronic and magnetic ballasts, have one of the highest efficacy, life and warranty in the marketplace. The GX24Q lamp is DLC Compliant and eligible for utility rebates.  The 9W LED lamps replace horizontal and vertical 13W and 26W CFL lamps, deliver up to 900 lumens, and are available in multiple color temperatures (2700K, 3500K or 4100K).

 Also on display are these SubstiTUBE LED lamps that save energy with no light quality compromise:

• SYLVANIA SubstiTUBE LED T5HO Lamps – Recognized in the recent IES Progress Report for having the highest efficacy for a T5HO LED, these lamps deliver up to 3500 lumens using only 25W, and are DLC qualified, allowing for utility rebates.

• SYLVANIA SubstiTUBE Value LED T8 Lamps – These entry level glass LED T8 lamps offer the energy savings of LED while also having the same look as traditional glass tubes. 

• SYLVANIA SubstiTUBE CURVALUME IPS LED T8 Lamps – These Ubend replacements for traditional fluorescent T8 lamps offer full light output end to end and are DLC qualified, allowing for utility rebates.
