Both hereafter as a whole referred to as “applications”. Other LEDVANCE products and services will use their own specific privacy policy relevant to those products or services.

5. Purposes of and legal basis for the processing

We want to enable you to manage your solar plants via our applications. To do this, we also need to process your personal data to a certain extend. Therefore, mandatory data entries are marked as mandatory fields, whereas your entries in other fields are at your own discretion.
When registering for your monitoring account you agree to the terms of use for these applications and confirm that you have read and taken note of this privacy policy. We will mainly process your personal data based on these specific terms of use and to provide the corresponding services. Hence the main legal basis for our processing of your data is Art 6 I b GDPR (necessity for the fulfilment of a contract).
In certain situations, we may need to process your data in accordance with Art 6 I c GDPR to fulfil legal obligations or legitimate interests in accordance with Art 6 I f GDPR.

6. How we collect and use your personal information

We process your personal data with LRA and LRP (see section 4 above) in essentially the same way. In the interest of clarity, we will explain this in a joint section below and highlight the differences. This is done, for example, by means of an addition in brackets or a heading (such as "LRP only").

6.1 When you register for an account, the information we may collect includes an email address. The above information is collected to help you create an account.

6.2 When you use the power station monitoring function, we will collect the information about the power station you add, including: power station name, power station type, power station status, power station location, photo of the plant (Optional), power installed, real time power, yield today and fault data (e.g. alarm name, device name, occurrence time, report data), so that you can manage and monitor the power station.

6.3 When a version update is detected, we will read your application installation list to detect whether the corresponding application store is installed on your mobile phone is outdated or not.

6.4 When you use the functions and services we provide, we will collect your operations within the platform, location clicks and other information as relevant web logs for the purpose of data security. This helps to improve our website and error analysis, etc. This includes your device information such as operating system, device model, device manufacturer, system version, Android ID, account information, date and time of access and IP address.

6.5 Additional Features:
  • GPS location permissions add additional features. You can create a power station and a power station map after enabling the location permission, requiring you to provide the location information of the power station before using it, or the location information of your mobile device when creating the power station. We will do so as necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests (Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR), or to provide you with our services (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • LRA only: Camera and album permissions adds additional features. You can use this function after enabling the camera and album permissions to scan QR codes, upload avatars, upload plant pictures, etc.
