Application:  General lighting,  Smart Home
Technology:  LED,  Smart lighting
Target Group:  Retail,  General public

Amazon Echo launched in Germany on October 26, 2016. The solution’s virtual assistant, Alexa, can now be used to control smart LIGHTIFY bulbs from OSRAM.

Amazon Echo is a smart, voice-powered multimedia system. Users can ask the virtual assistant Alexa just about anything from the latest weather report to the football results. You can also ask it to set an alarm or play music. And now, you can even use Alexa to control your lighting. If your home is equipped with OSRAM LIGHTIFY bulbs, you can easily adjust your lighting using the LIGHTIFY Alexa skill.

"Alexa, turn on the lights in the living room"
To access this functionality, all you need is Amazon Echo, the LIGHTIFY gateway and LIGHTIFY bulbs and luminaires. You simply say: “Alexa, turn on the lights in the living room” – perfect for situations where your hands are full or you couldn’t be bothered getting up off the sofa. You can also set the light intensity and dim lights by voice command. And soon, you will be able to do even more – Alexa developers have announced that they will be adding extra functions.

The OSRAM LIGHTIFY bulbs from LEVANCE are also compatible with a growing range of other smart home systems such as Samsung’s SmartThings, eQ-3, Nest and Telekom Smart Home.
