1. Who are you and what do you do at LEDVANCE?
My name is Matthias Haack. I am 50 years old and working at LEDVANCE in digital communication. I'm responsible for the digital communication strategy, and I make sure that the structure, content and visuals of the worldwide LEDVANCE websites and social media channels are up to date.
2. What were you doing before you joined LEDVANCE?
I spent five years at OSRAM as a senior online editor, where I was responsible for digital content creation. Before that I worked as a journalist and online editor in different positions.
3. What do you like about your job? And what do you like less about it?
Every day I have project discussions dealing with a wide range of areas within the company so I can use their content for digital communication. That gives me real insight into the company. At the same time, it's an exciting challenge to play a leading role in shaping digital transformation and to break new ground with ideas, content and tools in order to keep LEDVANCE's digital business card constantly up to date.
The internet never sleeps. You have to find enough time for yourself and shape your offline life.
4. What is LEDVANCE? / How would you describe LEDVANCE?
LEDVANCE is one of the largest lighting companies in the world in a rapidly changing industry. A very young company, with a long history in essential parts. You can feel this apparent contrast every day and this is what makes working in the company exciting every day. LEDVANCE is a young Dino in the process of building a successful future with its experience and creative power.
5. If LEDVANCE were a person, what would its 3 most striking characteristics be?
Open for change, challenging, invigorating
6. What would you do if you weren’t working (at LEDVANCE)?
I would be there for my family, travel, be more active in sports and realize my own ideas on the Internet.
